Salmon With Pak Choi

Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients
  

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 4 pak choi
  • 80 ml soy sauce
  • 120 ml of water
  • A few drops of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Extra virgin olive oil to taste

Method
 

  1. In a saucepan, melt sugar in water and soy sauce.
  2. Add minced garlic and a few drops of lemon juice. Cook for one minute.
  3. Place salmon fillets, refrigerate and marinate for 2 hours.
  4. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and blanch pak choi for a couple of minutes. Drain and set aside.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan over high heat and brown salmon fillets for two minutes per side.
  6. Add a few tablespoons of the marinade and cook for an additional two minutes.
  7. Transfer salmon fillet to serving plates and toss pak choi in the same skillet for two minutes, adding more marinade juice if necessary.
  8. Serve pak choi with salmon fillets.

Notes

Additional tips

  • Sprinkle with toasted black sesame seeds.
  • You can also prepare tuna fillets with pak choi, following the same procedure.
  • Season with a few lemon or lime drops.
